On October 11, 1958 she married James Schumacher; he preceded her in death on July 13, 2016. She was known for her smile and for her work as a companion at Country Bay Village for 20 years, retiring at age 83. Janet was a simple person who lived a simple life in a small town; she had a small family to which she was entirely devoted.
